Meet the Staff

Allison Lawrence, Executive Director

Allison is a native of Virginia and has been engaged in Virginia politics for over two decades. She started her professional political career working for the Virginia House Democratic Caucus as its deputy director. From there she went on to be Finance Director for the Democratic Party of Virginia and later transitioned into Government Relations and as a PAC (political action committee) Director. She’s had the pleasure of working with candidates at the local, state and federal levels in Virginia and across the country. Allison loves to spend time with family and friends, volunteering for her favorite causes and issues, traveling, gardening, playing golf, entertaining and riding 4-wheelers on her family’s farm. Little known fact: she loves an accent. Her favorite professional football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers, 6-time Super Bowl Champions of the World … and counting!

JoNathan Collins, Legislative and Member Services Director

JoNathan, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, has been in Virginia for three years. JoNathan is a two-time graduate of Alabama A&M University. He got his start in Virginia politics in 2017 as a field organizer for the coordinated campaign, and he has been working for the Senate Democrats since 2018. JoNathan’s has a passion for criminal justice reform and finding equity in education. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Jacqueline Hixson, Communications Director

Jacqueline has been in and around Virginia politics since 2014 – from Hampton Roads to Northern Virginia to Southwest, she has worked with candidates and elected officials across the Commonwealth at all levels of government. Jacqueline enjoys crafting, baking, and cooking, and runs a recipe blog to share her favorite creations. Jacqueline was a professional ballerina before attending college, and can speak in French, Spanish, and Italian.
