Statement: Passing of U.S. Senator John W. Warner, III

RICHMOND, Va.: Today, the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus offered the following statement after the passing of U.S. Senator John Warner:

“We join the many Virginian’s across the Commonwealth in mourning the passing of Sen. John Warner, and extend our deep condolences to his family and friends. Sen. Warner’s dedication to Virginia and the United States was unparalleled—his passion for public service was evident in his words and actions, from his military service to his public service.

“Political party didn’t matter to Sen. Warner; he valued forward-thinking ideas, hard work, and good governance. Sen. Warner will be missed, and remembered as the titan he was in Virginia.”
